On July 14^th the Burke Center Mental Health Emergency Center celebrated their Grand Opening with an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The Mental Health Emergency Center is for adults experiencing a mental health crisis who need immediate care.  Their services include emergency assessments, psychiatric evaluations, nursing services, counseling, rehabilitation and more. The Mental Health Emergency Center is the result of the work of 12 counties in East Texas, along with numerous organizations including the Rural East Texas Health Network, county judges and other city and county officials, area hospital leadership, area law enforcement, East Texas legislative representatives and the Burke Center.
